I respect your passion, as you clearly care about his topic. However, you generalize the term "American" and attribute it to mean "white." I believe many people of all colors, religions, races, and backgrounds are proud to be American but do not share the stereotype you outlined. I study race-related issues, so I understand your frustration. But generalizing is part of the problem, not the solution.
